Drew and Pandit (2020) in one of the assigned readings state the following: “QI needs to become the basis of how organizations are led and managed, replacing traditional hierarchical structures and incentives….All staff have two jobs: first, to do their job; second, to improve it” (p. 1). What does this statement mean to you in terms of how you think about leadership, quality improvement, and health care in the 21st century?
